BSE Sensex on 29-08-2008 ended at 14,564.53.
BSE Sensex ended down 80.70 points or 0.55 % at 14,483.83 swinging between 15,106.15 on Tuesday and 14,281.10 on Monday.
BSE Midcap ended up 11.43 points or 0.20 % at 5,753.72.
BSE Smallcap ended up 13.58 points or 0.20 % 6,905.22.
Nifty lost 7.70 points or 0.18 % to 4,352.30 during the week.
Oil prices fell during the week. on concern over demand after rise in unemployment rate in th US.
Inflation eased for the week ended on 23-08-2008 at 12.34 as compared to 12.40 % recorded for the year ended on 16-08-2008.
Gainer BSE sectoral indices during the week are : PSU (up 2.12 %), Power (up 0.89 %), CG (up 0.79 %), Bankex (up 0.23 %) and FMCG (up 0.04 %)
Loser BSE sectoral indices during the week are : Metal (down 4.55 %), CD (down 1.42 %), HC (down 1.25 %), IT (down 0.63 %), Auto (down 0.45 %), Realty (down 0.32 %) and Oil & Gas (down 0.07 %).
Major gainer stocks from Sensex pack are : SBI (up 8.19 %), ONGC (up 4.64 %), Maruti Suzuki (up 4.51 %), ACC (up 4.10 %) etc.
Major loser stocks from Sensex pack are : Ranbaxy (down 13.16 %), Tata Steel (down 6.54 %), Sterlite Ind (down 6.28 %), Tata Motors (down 4.63 %) etc.

Indian share market is one of the most happening and emerging market. Major Indian stock exchanges are BSE and NSE and both are of world class standards. Very nice post here thanks for it I always like and search such topics and everything connected to them. I really appreciate it.
