Suzlon Energy

Suzlon Energy, India's biggest maker of wind-turbine generator, expected to return to profit in the last quarter of 2008-2009.

Ahmedabad-based Suzlon Energy posted a loss of Rs. 589.70 million in quarter ended on Dec 31, 2009 as the company replaced faulty blades and value of orders declined. A recovery in oil price may may help increase sales at the company as countries consider new energy options.

In the quarter ended on Mar 31, 2009, the company signed more than 300 megawatts of orders from Australia and China.

Suzlon's share have risen 13% in this week, extending the gains for a fourth week. The stock lost 84% of its value in 2008.
